Members of the Student Conservation Association from at least 6 states have teamed up with Horseshoe Bend Park volunteers to add 300 feet of raised trail to the Flagg-Kirkland Trail. The Student Conservation Association (SCA) mission is to:
"build the next generation of conservation leaders and inspire lifelong stewardship of the environment and communities by engaging young people in hands-on service to the land."
Nine high school students, from as far away as California worked with four volunteers to install the wood work using drills and drivers to secure the treated lumber.
