Eagle Scout candidate Josh Snyder, of Kingwood Township, has completed his Eagle Scout project by building a 12 foot by 24 foot pavilion at Horseshoe Bend Park. Begun in the spring of 2016, this structure has a poured concrete base and an accessible ramp as well as an ADA compliant picnic table.  Located at the top of the hill at the South entrance, the pavilion has already served as the event registration space for the Friends of Horseshoe Bend Park annual horse ride.

Several fellow scouts, HBP volunteers, and Josh's parents provided support in the fabrication of the building which was designed by a local architect who also donated his time.

Josh will receive his Eagle Scout award on September 16, 2017 at a ceremony that will take place at the pavilion.
